Protease NP®

Protease NP® is a family of four non-GMO neutral proteases available in both food and industrial grades for use in hydrolyzing both plant and animal proteins.

Protease NP® is a group of neutral proteases produced from non-genetic modified strains of Bacillus subtilis. Protease NP® hydrolyzes protein into soluble peptides and a small amount of free amino acids; this enzyme works well in a pH range of 5.0 – 7.0.

  • NP-100 is a non-GMO food grade neutral liquid protease. NP-100 is designed for applications including hydrolyzed vegetable protein (HVP), hydrolysis of meat protein and yeast hydrolysis (yeast extract).

  • NP-1000 & NP-2000 are non-GMO food grade neutral proteases in powder form. These enzymes are specifically designed for the baking industry and are used to improve dough handling characteristics and the finished baked product appearance. NP-1000 & NP-2000 efficiently weaken gluten to produce  a  softer gluten structure and extensible dough properties.

  • NP-06 is a non-GMO neutral protease in powder form. NP-06 is designed for industrial applications such as hair removal and silk degumming.
